Growth in the Care Sector

The Latest Figures show growth in the sector of 40,000 care workers

Skills for Care have just release the size and structure of the adult social care sector and workforce in England update this week – The data shows that domiciliary care services continued to grow during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jobs within CQC regulated non-residential care services increased by 40,000, or 7%. The number of care home jobs remained broadly the same despite decreases in occupancy rates from 86% pre-covid to 77% in March 2021.
