We would like to update you on the work that has been happening at CLC to ensure learners are able to progress in the current circumstances. In line with Government guidelines, we will continue delivering our apprenticeship and vocational training remotely to keep everyone safe. We are fully equipped to continue delivering our high-quality, interactive training to apprentices on a one-to-one basis online and ensure the learning journey remains as uninterrupted as possible.
As we are unable to visit apprentices in person, we will deliver our face-to-face visits online. We will be using interactive teaching delivery to ensure apprentices are fully supported via Professional Discussions, Question and Answer sessions, and Assessment of their Skills on a one-to-one basis. It is important that learners continue to engage with their Training Adviser via phone, email or our e-learning platform (eAssessor) so we can provide the support required.
CLC have developed remote observations and can now complete them online via video calls/chat. These are live observations and are not recorded or retained. Full confidentiality of both learner and any clients that may be observed during this process will remain totally confidential under our own Confidentiality and Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
If any learner has difficulty working remotely this must be discussed with the Training Adviser as CLC may be able to provide support (e.g., access to a laptop or internet connection) Learners are supported to work remotely using their smart phone and/or through paper-based tasks which can be posted. Where an apprentice has a need for additional learning support, and where this can be delivered remotely, it will continue. We will evidence and provide extra assistance to all our learners who need additional learning support.
We continue to deliver functional skills remotely, the online tests can be taken within the workplace and invigilated by the Manager. We are currently developing the opportunity for learners to take their tests within the safety of their own home via remote invigilation. The End Point Assessment (EPA) requirement is also accomplished through high quality remote assessment rather than in person.
Our priority is to support employers and learners throughout this challenging time, reduce the impact and enable learners to achieve their qualification by adapting new ways of remote working.
